Beaujaleigh was a pure white, beautiful, energetic and healthy 3 year old, 6 pound Maltese. He and I moved to Palm Springs, CA from PA to be with my husband,Jim. He loved the weather, the doggie park and life in general.Uncle Jim took him to the doggie park to walk and have fun. He also loved beaujaleigh very much.I took him to the Animal Medical Hospital in Palm Springs for a physical and the veterinarian (Doug Kunz) said he needed a teeth cleaning. I was very hesitant as I told him, Beaujaleigh was very sensitive and had many allergies. He said they had a 99% success rate. I had labs done and he was "perfect": heart, lungs, kidneys, blood gases. He went for a teeth cleaning with another vet: Alison Koodrich and died. This wonderful beloved baby of mine was murdered. And, they did not even get to the teeth cleaning. He was cremated and all I have now is his urn, which I can barely look at. He was my life long companion and baby. Although, he was less than 4 years of age he lived his life to the fullest and made my life fulfilling. We will love you forever into eternity, my sweet Beaujaleigh. We will never forget Beaujaleigh! Uncle Jim supplied the music and voice to the hymn "Be Not Afraid" on Beaujaleigh's site. He sang his love to Beau.
"And there beyond the past the future lies,
a shining castle by the sea of time,
calling softly to you as you run -
luring you with the peace we pray you find."
Dearest Beaujaleigh, may the Lord keep yourself and your dear family during this year as always.
Your friend with love, Jan.
It's a new day
A new morning…
I will rejoice
For the Gift
That knowing and loving you
Brought to me and my life
I will shed the cloak of
Sadness and despair….
You are still with me every where
In all that I see
I will embrace life
and all those I encounter
with gladness
with joy and patience
You have become my
Guardian Angel
watching me from above.
Thank you for the gift of your love.
Dearest Beaujaleigh,
May the Lord cherish you for another year in His spiritual world.
May He bless your earthly family as they wait to greet you; Bonnie, Jim and Bordeaux.
All blessings, my dear.
Jan.
“Long ago in the deepest of winters all the animals on earth were abuzz with special news. "He is born! He is born!," cried the snowy owl. "Come one and all rejoice!" roared the mighty lion. "Bring gifts to the new King!" the deer hurried.
The forest grew bright with the din of excitement. Each creature was running towards a star. The noise, so loud and joyful, traveled to distant lands.
In a quiet glen, under a bramble bush, a small and lonely dog raised his head from his slumber and heard sounds from afar. He raised his weary head and wondered. He knew something was afoot but he knew not what.
A voice so sweet was singing in the distance; this he could hear. The words were not at all clear, but the sound was of waterfalls and misty mornings and everything dear. Eagerly he followed the sound and soon saw a star. It shone so brightly his fragile eyes watered. “What was this shiny thing that happily glowed? What could be happening that would bring about such a lovely sight?”
His shaking legs beat fast a path for many days. He became tired and hungry but still fought his way on. He followed the sound of that voice; the voice that reminded him of warmer and kinder times, as did the light of the star.
When he came into a clearing his eyes beheld such a sight. Everywhere there were animals and each had a precious gift. Some brought shiny berries from the forest, some brought glistening leaves, some brought twigs from the rarest of trees and some even brought the most precious wildflowers of the field. Animals were laying these gifts at the entrance of a stable. Above the stable the light of the great star shone more brightly than before.
The little dog turned to the deer and asked: "What is this lovely place?" The deer replied, "You have come to see your new King born but added sternfully “ Where are your gifts?" "I have no gifts,” said the fearful, lonely and tired dog as he held his head low.
The frightened dog's body trembled, his tail reached between his shaking legs and his head was lowered even more. He sat in shame. Yet in time he crept quietly to the stable. Hidden and comforted by the bodies of other animals he made his way to a manger. He lifted his bowed head. He opened his eyes. He looked. A gentle hand touched him. A woman's voice said, "There is no fear now.The bramble entwined in your fur is your gift to my Son. You are safe, now.” The woman held gently the little dog and said, “.Behold the Son of Man, whom you shall well serve."
So it came to pass that this little dog and all animals present were no longer lonely and with their many descendants, protected by their earthly guardians, served well the Son of Man. "
Dearest Beau, may the Lord be with you on this Christmas Day, Jan, with love.
'You shall cross the barren desert, but you shall not die of thirst.
You shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand.
You shall see the face of God and live.
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest.
If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side, know that
I am with you through it all.
.
Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be theirs.
Blest are you that weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of me, blessed, blessed are you!
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest. '
25/12/2011,
Dearest Beau, May the risen Lord be with you this Christmas and may He
guide and protect your family on earth. My love, Your friend, Jan, always.
"Shhh...... there!
Did you hear that?
Just the softest rustle.
A small breeze,
Barely moving the leaves
close to the trees that surround.
This sound, more felt than heard;
The sound of your walking through soft grass in summer.
A wonderful sound;
Like the sound of an Angel taking flight."

Please let your heart be joyful,
Let your spirit sing,
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the King!
My heart, in time, will become joyful
My spirit will begin to sing
For I am walking
Always with the King.
Dearest Beau, may the Spirit of Light be upon you and may you be comforted by the Lord during this season and all seasons.
“My eyes, so bright, now shine among the stars.
My voice sings with the wind in winter, as I leap
And dance among the tree tops.
I stalk the blown leaves in autumn, and brush the
flowers gently in the spring.
I come to you in dreaming; my feet grown dreamtime soft,
And lay my cheek against yours and whisper of your love."
